Laughter Yoga

Laughter yoga is a popular movement and breathing exercise that aims to cultivate joy, bring out your inner child, and help you let go of daily life stressors. Learning to laugh on cue can help you deal with stressful situations by promoting optimism and positivity. Laughter yoga is believed to help you manage stress through controlled breathing. This allows for greater uptake of oxygen, which activates the parasympathetic nervous system, your body’s natural relaxation system

Yoga for Trauma Recovery The breath functions automatically, but when we can learn to control our breath we can control our stress response. This trauma-informed recovery class guides the participant into a pattern of full deep breaths to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, then connects the breath with gentle movements intended to release tension and tightness stored deep in the tissues, followed by strengthening poses and finally deep relaxation. Participants are offered a variety of options to ensure they feel comfortable in every pose. (Optional blanket and/or pillow may be used to provide more comfort at times, if desired.)

Yoga Therapy for Stress Relief Stress Relief classes use therapeutic yoga techniques including deep breathing, vinyasa movements linked to breath, gentle stretches and deep twists to release tension stored in the muscles, calm the mind and find balance in the nervous system. Feel free to come as you are, there is no experience necessary and we encourage you to practice even if the distractions such as kids, pets, noises are there, because they will always be there. There will always be distractions and this class will teach us how to breathe through the chatter and find peace in the chaos. ViniYoga Connect yoga poses with deep breathing in this practice, allowing for an adaptable Vinyasa Flow for students at any level. Your yooga therapist provides an individual yoga experience for everyone in the class offering a variety of options to enhance your overall health and wellness. A slow flow practice with emphasis on breathing and letting go to find a deeper stretch, releasing tight muscles while strengthening the entire body.

Chill Out Yoga This cool class is designed to help you just let it go. Yoga styles of Viniyoga, Restorative and Yin Yoga are combined in this therapeutic yoga class. Chair Yoga Chair Yoga provides an accessible practice to all yogis. While chair yoga is traditionally designed for those with physical limitations and disabilities, even advanced practitioners can benefit from chair yoga. The positioning of the chair provides a unique perspective on asanas that is not found in mat yoga classes. Chair yoga helps increase flexibility, lung capacity, circulation and strength, improves balance, and relieves stress. The class incorporates breathing exercises, a gentle warm-up stretch, yoga, dance and final relaxation all from your chair.

No expectations, just show up and enjoy connecting your deep breath to fun and easy movements! Yoga Nidra Allow yourself to be guided into a deep, sleep-like state of relaxation. The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce tension, anxiety, stress, and bring deep rest to your body. The benefits of even just 20 minutes of this practice are compared to that of 4 hours of restful sleep. In this class you will be guided through a detailed sleep meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation.

Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim.The better your practice, the brighter your flame.
